Dear Mentees,
I’m sorry I have not reached out sooner.
I wanted to wait until I had some thoughts ready for how we will proceed our work together and how I can be of use to you now that things everywhere are put on hold.
We are in a period of uncertainty.
We are also in a period of renewal.
This is both an incredibly difficult time to be a creative and an incredibly rewarding time to be a creative.
It is also a shit time for the creative economy.
It is not the end though. The true test of creativity is exactly what is happening right now. We are confronted with feelings, we are confronted with the shortcomings of the world and we are confronted with our own insecurities, anxiety and also our own stability.
While the world is spinning out of the old and into a new time, we are left to pick up the pieces and figure out what this new dawn has in store for us.
This is a time when art matters and the most ideal time to connect with our voices. Times of trouble was when so many famous works were made, because finally the artists had time to listen to their emotions and charge ahead using their instincts and feelings rather than the need to please.
I won’t pretend to know what to do next, nor will I be able to offer you answers to what comes next, but I am standing steady and ready to walk next to you while you find your way through the unbeaten path ahead.
This is my first pandemic, but this is not my first economic downturn, nor my first unbeaten path. I’m ready to take this on, and will be here for you when you are.
I wrote in each of your emails what I think would be logical next steps for us, as well as a reminder of your coupon code and how many sessions we have left.
Let’s forge ahead. When you’re ready.
much love,
Kristine
