Job posting: Photographer +more
This morning I was looking at job postings and it dawned on me, it’s 2021 and I’m right on track.
About every 3-5 years I hit a slump where I wonder if it isn’t time for me to go out and get a more stabile job. It happened in 2007, and I ended up spending a year in the Alaskan bush, then again in 2010 after I completed my graduate degree, then in 2016 when I toddled off to apply for any social media marketing position I could find so we could pay for childcare and here we are, 2021. Spoiler alert: I always choose this job, my job. I love it.
The things is, this job, it’s not a “normal” job, but it is very much a real job. It is also a profession that runs mostly on intrinsic motivation rather than extrinsic motivation. If you would like to know what I do for a living as a working photographer, please read the job description below.
And if you are interested in being a part of the community of photographers I train to be able to do this job, I’m currently registering new students. Registrations close on Friday May 21 (it’s just four days away FYI).
